Sentier de Savane-Roche Virginie (Régina)

Trail description

This marked ONF trail leaves the RN2 between Régina and Saint-Georges-de-l'Oyapock and crosses primary forest, stream valleys and wet lowlands to the Savane-Roche Virginie, a granite inselberg rising to 138 m with open views over the canopy. You can bivouac on the summit, but fires are banned except camping stoves in the designated area. Carry plenty of water, don't go alone, and take care on the rock, which becomes extremely slippery with algae when wet.
