Mont La Fumée from Saül

Trail description

Saül has no road access and is reached by a flight of about 45 minutes from Cayenne; from the village the Sentier des Monts La Fumée climbs through tall, very diverse hill forest to viewpoints over the canopy and Mont La Fumée. It is part of a 10 km marked loop of about 5 to 5.5 hours and one of the more demanding trails in Saül's network. Bring enough water and strong insect repellent; the dry season from mid-July to mid-November gives the best conditions.
