Mont Grand Matoury Grand Tour

Trail description

The Sentiers de Lamirande start from the piste Lamirande off the RN2 in Matoury, where a laterite access path leads into the Réserve naturelle du Mont Grand Matoury and the 3.9 km Grand Tour, which combines the Boucle des Cascades and the Boucle Paypayo. Along the way are interpretation stations, a viewpoint over Cayenne and the Hermitage bird observation post, where hummingbirds are often seen. Allow about 3 to 4 hours, wear boots and stay on the paths, as venomous snakes live in the reserve.
