Trail description

The Karhunkierros, Finland's best-known trek: 61.7 km over four days from Hautajärvi through Oulanka National Park to Juuma, along the rapids and canyons of the Savinajoki, Oulankajoki and Kitkajoki. Wilderness huts stand at Ristikallio, Taivalköngäs, Ansakämppä and Jussinkämppä, and the route passes the Oulanka visitor centre and the Kiutaköngäs rapids; suspension bridges cross the rivers.
