Trail description
A 13.2 km climb from the village of Ambiko, at about 3,100 m, to the summit of Ras Dashen, at 4,550 m the highest mountain in Ethiopia, in Simien Mountains National Park. Ras Dashen is the eastern peak of the rim of an enormous volcano, facing Mount Biuat across the Meshaha valley, and was first climbed by Europeans in 1841.
