Ras Bwahit from Chennek

Trail description

A 4.5 km climb from Chennek camp to Ras Bwahit, also called Mount Biuat, at 4,430 m the western counterpart of Ras Dashen across the Meshaha valley. Simien Mountains National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1978, protects the Walia ibex, a wild goat found nowhere else, along with gelada baboons and the Ethiopian wolf.
