Trail description
A 2.3 km walk from the village of Tis Abay over the stone bridge of 1626, the first stone bridge built in Ethiopia, to the viewpoint facing the Blue Nile Falls. Known as Tis Abay, great smoke, the falls are 42 m high and up to 400 m wide in the rainy season, though a hydroelectric station has taken much of their flow since 2003. They lie about 30 km downstream from Bahir Dar and Lake Tana.
