Cascadas de Tamanique

Trail description

A 1.8 km hike from the town of Tamanique, in La Libertad, following streets, a path, and a steep trail up to the waterfall viewpoint. The route passes by four waterfalls with swimming pools, the main one being over 40 m high; reaching the fourth one requires rappelling with ropes. It is recommended to go with a local guide, who can usually be hired in the town between 8 am and 4 pm.
