Chimborazo Refugio Carrel to Casa Cóndor via Templo Machay

Trail description

A descent of about 9 km (signed as 6 hours) from the first Chimborazo refuge at about 4800 m to the community tourism lodge Casa Cóndor, passing the Templo Machay cave and the lone Quichuar tree (árbol solitario). Casa Cóndor is close to the road, where you can catch a bus back. It can be combined with the walk up from the park entrance or the climb to the Whymper refuge.
