Morne Diablotin Trail

Trail description

This route climbs from the Syndicate trailhead to the summit of Morne Diablotin (1,447 m), Dominica's highest peak, 2.7 km one way with about 750 m of ascent. The path starts gradually, then turns steep, root-laced and muddy through rainforest, montane forest and elfin woodland, with some hands-on sections near the top and very slippery footing on the descent. Allow about 3 hours up and 2 down, carry a Site Pass, and expect the summit to be in cloud often; a local guide is strongly recommended.
