Stavrovouni from Pyrga

Trail description

A 5.7 km climb of about 440 m from the village of Pyrga to Stavrovouni (752 m), the isolated peak crowned by one of the oldest monasteries of Cyprus, said to have been founded by St Helena. Over a third of the way follows the monastery road; women may not enter the monastery, and visitors need covered shoulders and knees.
