Pico Potrerillo (Topes de Collantes)

Trail description

A 2.7 km ascent from the hamlet of Vegas Grandes via a demanding mountain trail to the summit of Pico Potrerillo (931 m), located in the Escambray massif, southeast of Topes de Collantes. Also in this range are Topes de Collantes, at nearly 800 m, and the highest peak, Pico San Juan, at 1,140 m. The southern slopes of these mountains descend towards the Valle de los Ingenios and the city of Trinidad, both UNESCO World Heritage sites.
