From Tuk Vojni near Mrkopalj forest roads and paths lead through the deep beech and fir forests of Gorski kotar to the Samarske stijene, a strict nature reserve of white limestone towers and gullies. Inside the reserve walkers must stay on the marked path through the rocks.
