Laguna Botos en el Volcán Poás

Trail description

A 4.1 km out-and-back of about 190 m from the Poás Volcano park entrance through dwarf cloud forest to Laguna Botos, the cold green lake in an old crater beside the active main crater. The first part follows the paved park road to the main crater viewpoint; the park sells timed tickets online, and trails close when the volcano is active.
