Wenhai Lake from Yuhu Village

Trail description

An 8.6 km walk with about 650 m of climbing from the Naxi village of Yuhu below the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain up through pine forest to Wenhai, a seasonal lake in a high meadow at about 3,100 m. Most of the way follows the old horse trail, with part on a forest track. The thin air at this height makes the climb slow.
