Trail description

An 8.3 km climb of about 1,490 m from Haba village up through pine and rhododendron forest to the base camp hut of Haba Snow Mountain at about 4,100 m, opposite the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain across Tiger Leaping Gorge. Most climbers stay a night here before the summit attempt. The thin air above 3,500 m makes the climb hard, and walkers register at the reserve office in Haba village.
