Trail description

A long day in Banff National Park along the north shore of Lake Minnewanka past Stewart Canyon, then a steep climb from the Aylmer Pass junction to Aylmer Lookout, an old fire lookout site high above the lake. About 23 km out and back with some 890 m of climbing. In late summer Parks Canada may require hikers on this trail to travel in groups because bears feed on the buffaloberries.
