Phnom Sampov Stairs Battambang

Trail description

A steep staircase climbs Phnom Sampov, a limestone hill about 12 km southwest of Battambang, to the hilltop temple and stupas; a cement road is the alternative. The hill holds the Khmer Rouge killing caves, and at dusk millions of bats stream out of a cave at its foot.
