Brackvenn Boardwalk

Trail description

A 3.1 km loop on boardwalks and paths across the Brackvenn, a raised bog of the High Fens on the edge of Mützenich, where old drainage ditches have been blocked to let the peat grow wet again. Purple moor grass, cotton grass and stunted birches cover the open plateau at 600 m; stay on the boardwalk, as parts of the fen close in the bird breeding season.
