Animal Flower Cave North Point

Trail description

This cliff walk follows the coastal paths of North Point, the northern tip of Barbados in St Lucy, from River Bay to the Animal Flower Cave. The cave is the island's only accessible sea cave and is named after the sea anemones locals call animal flowers; its coral floor is roughly 400,000 to 500,000 years old. Coral steps cut down through its blowhole in 1912 lead to guided visits of about 20 minutes, with an entrance fee, Tuesday to Sunday. Swimming in the cave's rock pool is allowed only in calm conditions and stops during winter swells.
