Trail description
From the Horcones ranger station in Parque Provincial Aconcagua the trail follows the Horcones valley to the Confluencia camp at about 3,400 m and then up the lower Horcones glacier valley to Plaza Francia at about 4,200 m, below the 3 km south face of Aconcagua. A park trekking permit is required, and most walkers sleep at Confluencia to acclimatise before the day to Plaza Francia.
