Trail description

This walk follows the Vjosa, one of Europe's last wild rivers, downstream from Këlcyrë to the village of Peshtan. From the town it passes through the Këlcyrë gorge, partly on the main road, then follows paths and tracks along the stony valley side to Peshtan. It is about 11 km with some 390 m of climbing and takes 3 to 4 hours, and it can be walked all year. Këlcyrë is on the Tepelenë to Përmet road, and from Peshtan you can continue on the old caravan path to Limar and the Zagoria valley.
