Berat Hills Loop via Qafa e Billes

Trail description

This loop starts at Porta e Pashait, the Pasha's Gate in Berat's old Mangalem quarter, and climbs into the low hills behind the town over two small saddles, Qafa e Billës and Qafa e Gërdhjeve, with views back over Berat. It mixes footpaths and woodland trail with some village road, about a third of the total. The loop is about 8.9 km with under 300 m of climbing, around 2.75 hours, an easy half-day escape from the old town, which you can walk to from the centre.
